I Don’t Break News, I Fix It

Welcome to Barataria!  The purpose of this blog is simple – to get beyond the news you read every day with context and thought.  It works because of a dedicated community of people and their unique perspectives.  You can help support the effort with the buttons on your right.

The first is the Donate button, which goes directly to PayPal.  Any major credit card can be used to make a small donation.  Please support Barataria with  a contribution of $15 per year, or a dime a post.  Thank you!
Next to the Donate button is the RSS feed.  It’s one way to be notified every MWF when Barataria updates.
Updates are posted 2-3 times per day on twitter along with links to articles.  Barataria readers often engage in lively discussion on economics and politics on twitter.
On my YouTube Channel you’ll find the latest videos on economic topics – short subjects done on the fly that I hope provide some additional new perspective and context for every news-hungry reader.
Lastly we have my own Facebook page.  If you friend me, I’ll friend you back!

Thank you again for your support – without readers, there’s no point to writing.  I do all of this for you, and I hope that Barataria makes you think.  If you can return the favor, we’ll really have something that gets us through difficult times.  That’s the real goal here.
